| The 63-foot
span over Lee's Creek at Dover is one of the oldest covered bridges still in use in
Kentucky. Erected in 1835, it received major repairs in 1928, 1966, and 2000.
It was constructed using a modified queenpost truss design, which is similar to
the way early barns were built. Dover is located approximately 9 miles west of
Maysville on Highway 8. More
